Meaning of the Falklands flag

Blue with the British flag in the top corner and the coat of arms: a white ram above a sailing ship, with the motto 'Desire the right'. The ship is the Desire, from which the English navigator John Davis sighted the islands in 1592.

The Falkland Islands are a British Overseas Territory; Argentina claims them.
