Golf flag or boat flag with your own design: what to look out for

A golf flag with your own design measures 44 × 34.5 cm and clamps onto any common golf flagstick with a tube. A boat flag is a triangular pennant of 40 × 30, 60 × 40 or 75 × 50 cm, with a band and cord on the pole side. You can order both from a single piece: the golf flag for €13.95, the boat flag from €12.95.

Golf flag: for your course, a tournament or a sponsor

Your own golf flag makes your course recognisable on every hole. At a tournament or club championship, it is where a sponsor appears in every photo of the green. The flag is made of extra strong Flag Longlife polyester and has a golf tube with a 2 cm diameter that clamps around the stick; it fits all common golf flagsticks.

Design tips

  • Keep it simple: a logo or a hole number, large enough to recognise from the fairway.
  • Want a different number on each hole? Then design one flag per number.
  • The grey area in the design tool wraps around the tube. Do not put anything important there.
  • The print shows through. The back shows your design mirrored, so text and numbers only read properly on the front.

Boat flag: club colours, a name or your logo on the water

A pennant on the mast, the sloop or the jetty shows where you belong: your sailing club, your company or simply the name of your boat. During a sailing race or a day on the water, you can recognise it from afar. The flag is made of strong Flag Longlife polyester that frays less quickly, and finished with a band and cord on the pole side.

Which size?

Choose the size in proportion to your boat and your pole. On a sloop or a small sailing boat, 40 × 30 cm is often enough; on a larger boat or a flagpole on the jetty, 60 × 40 or 75 × 50 cm stands out more. Measure the length of your pole: a flag that is almost as long as the pole soon looks too big.

Design tips

  • A triangle gets narrow towards the tip. Put your logo or name in the wide part near the pole and keep the tip simple.
  • The print shows through for 90 to 95 per cent, so the other side shows your design mirrored.
  • A strip disappears under the band on the pole side; the design tool shows how much with a grey area.

How long do they last?

Both flags last three to five months outdoors, up to wind force six. On the water and on an open golf course it is often windier than in town, so bring your flag in when a storm is coming.

Ordering and delivery time

Design your flag in the design tool on the product page of the golf flag or the boat flag; we turn it into the print file. Printing takes 3 to 4 working days; it reaches you within 5 to 7 working days in the Netherlands and Belgium, and within 5 to 8 elsewhere in the EU. From €60, shipping is free, so with five golf flags you already pay no shipping costs.
