On a single-sided flag, one side is printed and the design shows through, mirrored, on the back. On a double-sided flag, two separately printed layers are sewn together with an opaque interlayer (black-out) in between, so both sides read correctly with no mirror image. Single-sided starts at €30.00 and double-sided at €46.00: if the flag hangs against a facade or indoors, single-sided will do; if it flies freely from a pole or at an event, go for double-sided.
What's the difference?
It all comes down to the number of printed layers. A single-sided flag is one layer of 115 g/m² UV-resistant polyester, printed on one side. A double-sided flag consists of two separately printed layers with an opaque black-out layer in between. That choice determines visibility, look and price: from €30.00 versus from €46.00, in the same eight sizes from 60 × 40 cm to 450 × 300 cm.
Single-sided printing
On a single-sided flag (from €30.00), the design is printed on one side only. Because the fabric is thin, the design is visible on the back as a mirror image — but fainter and less vivid. That makes it perfect wherever the flag always faces the same way, such as along a facade or indoors.
Pros:
- €16.00 cheaper than double-sided in the smallest size: €30.00 versus €46.00
- Lighter fabric that flies more easily in a light breeze
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
Cons:
- The back shows a mirrored, paler design
- Less suitable when both sides need to be fully visible
Double-sided printing
On a double-sided flag (from €46.00), the fabric consists of two separately printed layers sewn together, with an opaque interlayer (black-out) in between. This keeps the design sharp, colourful and fully legible on both sides — even when the wind turns the flag the other way, or when it is placed where people see it from both sides.
Pros:
- The same design on front and back, or a different design on each side
- Professional look, ideal for events and businesses
- No show-through or mirrored effect
Cons:
- €16.00 higher starting price because of the second print and the black-out layer
- Heavier — ideal in strong wind
Which one should you choose?
Count how many sides people will see the flag from. One side: single-sided. Two sides: double-sided. The guidelines below put that into practice:
- Flag against a wall or indoors: Single-sided will do
- Sports event or festival: Double-sided for maximum visibility
- Municipal or company flag outdoors: Double-sided, especially if the flag flies from a free-standing pole
- Small run or temporary promotion: Single-sided is the most cost-effective choice
You design both versions yourself on the product page
No waiting for a quote and no emailing files. In the design tool on the product page, you upload your logo or image, choose the size and immediately see your design in the flag's proportions — including a warning if the resolution is too low for the chosen size. After all, a logo that looks sharp at 90 × 60 cm won't automatically be sharp at 300 × 200 cm. For the double-sided flag you upload two files, one per side, so two different designs are possible too.
Our flags: single- or double-sided, your choice
We offer both versions as separate products, in the same eight sizes from 60 × 40 cm to 450 × 300 cm: the single-sided flag from €30.00 and the double-sided flag from €46.00. The same choice applies to the kiosk flag: single-sided from €27.95 or double-sided from €49.95. Everything is printed in the EU on 115 g/m² UV-resistant polyester using dye-sublimation, which stands up to sun, wind and rain.
Production takes 3 to 4 working days, after which your flag is delivered within 1 to 2 working days in the Netherlands and Belgium and within 2 to 4 working days elsewhere in the EU: allow 5 to 7 working days in total. There's no minimum order, so you can order just one; from the second or third piece, a volume discount kicks in that rises to 25% at ten pieces (up to 16% on the double-sided flag). Shipping is free to every EU country on orders from €60.00. Want to know which size or type of flag suits your situation best? Get in touch — we're happy to help.
