In short: for the facade and entrance, municipalities usually go for a double-sided flag of 150 × 100 cm (from €49.00); for markets, information days and village fêtes, a beach flag with a ground spike or cross base (from €85.00). There is no minimum order, so you can order just one; from the second or third piece the volume discount rises to 25 per cent at ten pieces (up to 16 per cent for the double-sided flag), and from €60.00 shipping is free to every EU country. You upload the municipal coat of arms or corporate identity file yourself in the design tool, which tells you straight away whether the resolution is good enough for the chosen size.
Recognition builds trust
Municipalities, provinces and other public bodies have a particular need to be visually recognisable in public spaces. Whether it is a village fête, an information day, a market or an official event, the municipality's presence should be visible and professional.
Flags are an affordable way to achieve that: a single-sided flag with your own design starts at €30.00 and a double-sided flag with your own design at €46.00, in eight sizes from 60 × 40 cm to 450 × 300 cm.
Uses for municipalities
Town halls and community centres
A row of flags bearing the municipal coat of arms or the municipal flag on the facade or at the entrance of the town hall or community centre gives the location an official, recognisable character. Visitors know at once that they have come to the right place.
150 × 100 cm is the usual facade size for this; for a wide flight of front steps or a detached building, 225 × 150 cm and 300 × 200 cm work better. Choose double-sided: thanks to the opaque interlayer (black-out), the coat of arms reads correctly on both sides and never appears mirrored.
Funfairs, markets and village fêtes
At neighbourhood and village festivals, flags add atmosphere and identity. Combine the municipal flag with themed designs for the event. The flags are easy to reuse for future editions; only the event flag may need replacing.
On a square or a lawn without a flagpole, a Straight beach flag with your own design is handier than a flag on a facade pole: from €85.00, with a cross base for paving, a ground spike for grass or a parasol base for a terrace. The Straight ranges from 40 × 235 cm to 90 × 430 cm, and there are also the Square, Drop and Wave shapes.
Information days and public consultations
Temporary locations, such as a building site, a drop-in evening at a community centre or an information point, are quickly recognised as official when municipal flags are flying. This builds visitors' trust and gives your communication more weight.
If you need more than a coat of arms and a name, for example a timeline or details of a drop-in session, a banner with your own design from €39.95 is the better medium; it also hangs easily on a construction fence.
Public ceremonies and remembrance
For national holidays, remembrance days or receptions for state visitors, flags provide a dignified, professional setting. They are quick to put up and just as quick to take down afterwards.
Municipal services and facilities
Sports facilities, libraries, museums and other municipal buildings gain a consistent house style when every location uses the same flags. This strengthens the brand identity of the municipality as a whole.
Purchasing and budgets
Municipalities often work with a fixed purchasing budget. You can check for yourself whether an order stays within it before you place it: a single-sided flag starts at €30.00, a double-sided one at €46.00 and a beach flag at €85.00. From the second or third piece the volume discount rises to 25 per cent at ten pieces (up to 16 per cent for the double-sided flag), and the price for your size and quantity is shown on the product page before you check out. For larger orders we put together a tailored quote; request one via the business order form.
Material and durability
For public bodies, the lifespan of an investment matters. Our flags are made of 115 g/m² UV-resistant woven polyester, dye-sublimation printed for maximum colourfastness. Double-sided flags have an opaque black-out layer between the two prints, so both sides stay legible. With good care they last several seasons. You can read more about lifespan and care in our article How long does a flag last?
Ordering and enquiries
Municipalities and public bodies order directly through the online shop, with no minimum order. Allow 5 to 7 working days in total from order to delivery: 3 to 4 working days for production, then 1 to 2 working days for shipping within the Netherlands and Belgium, or 2 to 4 to other EU countries. From €60.00 there are no shipping costs to any EU country.
You take care of the design yourself on the product page. You upload the coat of arms or corporate identity file in the design tool, see immediately how it looks at the chosen size and get a warning as soon as the resolution is too low, so you know before you order that it will come out sharp on the fabric. For project requests or larger series, we are happy to help you work out the size and logistics.
